Beat The Lazy You!

You are at home., the same place, the same things all around and ughghgh it’s so boring!

But I guess you wanna do a lot of things, I know you have planned so much for today, BUT, are you actually doing anything or just going to bed saying “Oh my God I wasted a lot of time today. You know what I am going to wake up early tomorrow and just keep working the whole day."

Yet in reality... Tomorrow never comes!

“So... how do I actually beat the lazy me?”

Give me just 5 mins, I’ll tell you 5 ways to BEAT IT!

1. Find the ROOT

Let me re-quote what Steve Jobs said -

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do”

The root cause of being lazy is very simple, it’s just that it doesn’t interest you much. Explore and do things that actually interest you. If you do not love something, there is no point in speaking about the next four points!

2. Set Goals for Every single day

I am sure you might be having a long term goal but you cannot achieve it overnight! You gotta split it into smaller goals which you can achieve it soon. Make a list of tasks that you need to complete every single day.

Tip: Prepare a To-Do list in a sticky note as soon as you wake up and stick it somewhere so that you can have a look at it every time.

3. Do it NOW

Procrastination is the thief of time. If you have got work, just start it off immediately. If you start thinking for 2 mins... That’s it. That’s the end of it. That work is never gonna happen. When you start developing this and try to do it well for just 20 days, believe it or not, it’s eventually going to become your habit!

4. Think of the Benefits

What’s that you are gonna get out of doing that work? Think about it. Imagine what reward it’s going to give you. That will motivate you and help you grow that desire for more and more. And trust me, you will automatically start loving what you do. Yes, it goes back to Steve Jobs’ quote and solves the whole Root cause!

5. Start small and do ONE AT A TIME

Always split your task into smaller tasks that can be completed in a day or a few. Focus on just one task at a time. When you wanna do multiple things.. Nothing is gonna happen efficiently and you may lose interest. Just complete smaller tasks one by one and feel that Satisfaction after you did it! Wow..isn’t that just amazing!?

Now, come on, I know you are motivated enough, don’t waste more time and get back to work quickly!
