5 Best Home-Workout Apps To Beat The Pandemic Stress!

Along with a good diet, it is imperative to have a daily exercise routine.

Moving your body can help release endorphins, "the feel-good" hormones, and improves mood. Regular exercise also boosts energy when you're stuck in a rut and promotes better sleep.

Here is a list of free training apps that can help you reach your goals and beat the stress, all from the comfort of your home!

These workouts can also be done at the gym, at a park, literally anywhere!

5. Adidas runtastic

This app has workouts, fitness challenges that can be accessed for free. It also has a bunch of fitness plans for 2,3,4 weeks with adjustable difficulty and duration options. There is a workout creator that automatically creates a workout for a targeted muscle group. That being said, the number of trainings that are offered are limited, and over a period of time, it can get tiresome and boring.

My Rating: 3.5/5

4. Shred

This app has been launched to the android play store only a few weeks ago and is yet to arrive for Apple's iOS. I was one of the lucky ones to be part of the beta testing of the app.

There are Two Options- Gym Workouts and Home Workouts. The Gym workouts focus on various fitness programs like cross-training and full equipment-based workouts.

Home workouts are solely focussed on bodyweight exercise. There are also two types of coaching-

  • Intense coaching for extra motivation. Note: Profane language is used.

  • Gentle coaching for beginners.

My Rating: 4/5

3. Fitify

This app focuses on different types of workouts like yoga, cardio, HIIT and additional equipment workouts with barbells, med balls etc. There are a couple of fitness plans available for free.

My rating: 4/5

2. Puma

This fitness app is entirely free. Every workout is created by professionals including celebrities like Virat Kohli, Alvin Davie and Fabiana Bytyqi.

There are over 100 workouts and can be filtered based on your personal goals and workout type.

My one suggestion would be that they could add an option to create fitness plans.

My Rating: 4.5/5

1.Nike

This is a highly recommended workout app. There are over 200 workouts that are classified into various collections. You have a workout for every need – stretching, yoga, HIIT, gym and athletic workouts.

There is an option to create a plan for 2,3,4 and 8 weeks for free, and you can schedule the plans for the future as well. All of this with informative blog posts on nutrition and fitness!
